The protagonist decides to take a stand for themselves, whether by changing, running away, or fighting back, and their oppressor, whether a family member or a lover, deeply regrets what they put the protagonist through.
Criteria to meet the list:
- The protagonist must have been oppressed, isolated, bullied, or ignored.
- Both the oppression and the accompanying regret needs to be key aspects of the plot, not throwaway narration buried in a flashback.
- It still counts if the protagonist is a transmigrator who pops in after the brunt of the oppression has already happened, so long as the accompanying regret still happens.
