Kanou Hokki, an ordinary office worker working as a game planner, has his proposal for a new title rejected—only to be fired from the company as well.
Depressed, he reports the result to his online friends, when suddenly the words “Final Chapter” appear on his monitor, followed by a flood of monsters.
This scene—wasn’t it exactly like the game he had planned?!

Shocked, Hokki rushes home to check on his parents and younger sister, but his family has already been lost.
Driven by anger, he challenges the monsters, only to be cut down in an instant.
As his consciousness fades, he’s tormented by guilt that the world was destroyed by the game he imagined, and he prays for another life.

When he awakens, he finds himself in a schoolyard.
Though this world is very different from the one he knew, Hokki has been given a chance to start over.
